Proforma for kids of Andhra Pradesh staff
Government has said it will examine the details of children of AP government employees
Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government finalised the proforma for collecting data of children of employees with respect to local status issue.
The state government issued a circular and asked secretaries, principal secretaries and heads of departments to submit a consolidated report within a week.
The government circular said, “After the bifurcation, employees and employee associations have raised apprehensions that if the capital is shifted, their children will become non-local. Therefore there is a need to amend the Presidential Order to make their children locals in AP as they have studied/ studying in Hyderabad”.
The government has said it will examine the details of children of AP government employees, who wish to shift to the new capital. Employees have to fill the proforma with particulars of their children. They have to inform the government if they plan to shift their family to the new capital city or any other place in AP and if the employees want relaxation to get “special status”.
The government said that if the child is studying in Class IV to Class VI, on shifting, he/she will automatically be local as he can continue four years of study leading to Class X. Only those studying between Class VII to Class X (for employment) and Class IX to Inter (admissions to higher educational institutions) may need relaxation.
