Both the states AP and Telangana has to revise tech fees

Hyderabad: After medical fees, engineering colleges fees are set for a revision for the next academic year. Both the states now have their own Admissions and Fee Regulatory Committees.

Both AFRCs are preparing to issue fee fixation notifications next month. Senior officials said that the notification for fee fixation was likely to be issued next month.

Engineering colleges’ fees were fixed by the AFRC in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh for 2013-16. The Telangana government had last month issued orders forming its AFRC with Justice P.  Swaroop Reddy as chairman. The members are yet to be nominated. The Telangana state government has asked for the members to be nominated immediately.

TS government sources said the nomination process of members to the TS Admissions and Fee Regulatory Comm-ittees will be completed within the next couple of weeks and the notification will be issued in September, calling for proposals from colleges. Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education officials said it would issue the notification next month.
