HyderabadIf you are looking for a job, your best bet would be start-ups and smaller companies rather than big names in the industry, says an expert, who tracks recruitment and skill development.

“The large companies in the country are still cautious about hiring, while smaller companies and startups are the one who are hiring people aggressively,” said Dr Santanu Paul, the MD and CEO of skill development firm TalentSprint. Industry body Nasscom too had predicted that the IT sector would create 13 per cent less jobs in fiscal 2016 compared with this year, as new technologies make many roles redundant and large companies improve efficiency as clients demand more bang for the buck.

With hiring a right candidate turning more crucial in lean times, Nasscom in association with TalentSprint has launched a nationwide programme for Talent Acquisition Professionals in the IT-BPM industry called the Talent Acquisition Professionals Forum or TAP Forum.
