Swathi is looking forward to feedback on Tripura. “It’s a horror thriller,” she says. This is the first time she is in a Telugu horror film. “I am playing an innocent village girl who comes to the city. It’s a very good role,” she says, adding that many people congratulated her when she shared her first look of the film.

“When I first wore a sari in Danger, director Krishna Vamsi said that I looked like a kid. After a few years when I wore a sari again for Ashta Chemma, they said I looked as I if I was going to a Teacher’s Day function. Then I wore a sari in Golconda High School and again I got comments that I looked good but I was so lean. I am a Telugu girl and when I wear a sari, I get different comments. In Tripura too I wear a sari but now they say that I look like a typical Telugu ammayi,” says Swathi.

The actress is excited that her Malayalam film and Tripura, are both releasing on the same day. Naveen Chandra is playing the lead actor. “He is a doctor and my husband in the film,” she says. “This film is not about who plays the lead. When you watch the film, only the characters come to your mind,” she says. “It’s not only horror, there is also love and emotion in the film,” adds Swathi.
