Dawood Ibrahim has a new found interest: Blood diamonds
Diamonds worth around US $500,000-1,000,000 (Rs.3 crore to 6.6 crore) are being smuggled
New Delhi: Hawala transaction, underworld, terror, and now adding on to his list, Dawood Ibrahim has found his latest interest in 'blood diamonds', claim reports.
Investigators who were on his case have found that the dreaded leader of D-company is now involved in promoting and expanding illegally mined blood diamonds, and, a dossier created by them also details his link to various countries such as Zimbabwe and Kenya. It also describes the way he acquires diamond and smuggles them to Dubai.
Diamonds worth around US $500,000-1,000,000 (Rs.3 crore to 6.6 crore) are being smuggled and the African courier is paid US $10,000 as his courier fee, according to the dossier.
The National Security Adviser Ajit Doval had earlier tasked intelligence agencies to pinpoint Dawood's businesses in a bid to freeze his assets, leading to the revelation.
