Exclusive: Ronnie Screwvala to get back to movies?
He has already chalked a plan to produce interesting content
Mumbai: Ronnie Screwvala is known to be one of the most powerful men in the film industry having founded UTV as an entrepreneur and taking it to a new high. However in 2012, he sold the company to Walt Disney and a year later Ronnie bid good bye to the entertainment and the film industry. He moved on to many online ventures and also started Swades Foundation, which has empowered many lives in rural India so far. He’s even authored the book titled ‘Dream With Your Eyes Open’, in which he details his vast experiences and the myriad lessons learnt from more than two decades of building some successful businesses.
However the buzz is that Ronnie is gearing up to get back to the movies.
A source revealed that Ronnie has already chalked a plan to produce interesting content. He will take it very slowly and form a strong team with like-minded people. When it comes to content in movies, with his track record it is proven that he has a very sharp mind with a good commercial sense as well. He will take baby steps and it will take some time before an announcement will be made.
The idea is to generate good content and push it on many platforms and make the most of the vast experience he has over 2 decades.
