The government had given the specifications for realignment near the Assembly where the metro rail would go from behind and come out at Public Gardens.

Hyderabad: Larsen and Toubro Hyderabad Metro Rail managing director V.B. Gadgil said that they are in continuous talks with the state government on the realignment issue.

Mr Gadgil said, “We have been sending reminders and also reminding during our weekly meetings that the issue of realignment has to be resolved. Reminders and discussions are part of the process to move the project further. That is what is being carried out by us.”

The government had given the specifications for realignment near the Assembly where the metro rail would go from behind and come out at Public Gardens. While the technical feasibility report has been submitted to the government the decision on the same is pending.

A senior officer said, “The change in alignment would require the government to bear the cost as that was a clause of the agreement with L&T. Now that the government has proposed it they have to keep the financial implications in mind and that is the reason for the delay in the decision.”
