Nalloor Panchayat president Vinayagam held for AIADMK man’s murder
Police said Vinayakam was upset with Kottai Samy as he enjoyed less clout in the area

Chennai: Police on Monday arrested six persons, including Nalloor Panchayat president, Vinayagam (40), in connection with the murder of AIADMK functionary Kottai Samy at Red Hills, a day ago. Police said Vinayakam was upset with Kottai Samy as he enjoyed less clout in the area. Further, he was also not happy with Kottai Samy flourishing in real estate business.
The victim was a former president of Nallor Panchayat and is a joint secretary of Sholavaram unit of Amma Peravai. Vinayakam is also an AIADMK functionary and a member of MGR Peravai, police said.
