Australia is now the choice for Vijayawada students

Vijayawada: Australia has emerged as the second most chosen destination for higher education among students of the city, after the US. Around 20 per cent of the students going abroad for higher education opt for Australian Universities to pursue courses, revealed experts at an education fair underway for students who want to go abroad for higher studies.

Over 100 students turned up at the Australian Education Fair organised by IDP Education in city on Monday. Students interacted with the representatives of universities and institutions who presented the prospects of higher education in Australian universities.  

Mr Harmeet Pental, regi-onal director (South Asia, North America & UK) IDP Education, said that students interested in studying abroad visited the fair and were given a better view of the educational opportunities in Australia.

Mr Pental informed that eligible students could also avail scholarships and fee waivers depending on the universities. Experts at the fair said that out of around 3,000 students going abroad from Vijayawada for higher studies, almost 1,000 prefer Australia after US.
