Three swine flu cases detected in Telangana
New cases can be attributed to the recent Pushkaralu where there was mass gathering
Hyderabad: At least three cases of Swine Flu (H1N1) were reported in the city and other districts of Telangana over the last one week, officials said today.
The infected patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals including state-run Gandhi Hospital here, they said, adding their condition is stable.
There were reports of two more persons undergoing treatment for Swine Flu at a private hospital.
The situation is not alarming and the new cases can be attributed to the recent Pushkaralu where there was mass gathering, a senior doctor said.
Gandhi Hospital is geared up to combat the epidemic this season going by the last season's experience. An awareness programme on the preparedness to tackle this epidemic was conducted yesterday, Dr Narasimulu, Nodal Officer at Gandhi Hospital said.
Gandhi Hospital has a special ward for H1N1 patients and it was the nodal centre during last year's Swine Flu outbreak.
