KCR wants hilltop temple constructed on 5 acres; it will have a path around Yadadri hill for Pradakshinanam
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday told officials that the Yadadri compound wall and Mada streets should be built on five acres on the hills.
He wanted the statues of 52 incarnations of Lakshminarasimha Swamy to be installed in the premises. He also wanted a path constructed around the Yadadri hill for people to complete their Pradakshinanam.
Mr Rao was holding a review meeting on the temple work with officials at his camp office. He examined the architecture designs of the temple and directed officials take up development works quickly.
He said a kitchen and a glasshouse should be constructed in the temple premises. At the foot of the hills, Mr Rao said a bus stand, kalyana mandapam, shopping complex, flower garden and lodging facilities should be developed.
He directed the officials to construct gardens, cottages, guesthouses, parking places, cow shed, a dining hall and permanent helipad near the temple. He wanted abundant greenery around the temple.
Mr Rao asked officials to develop the Baswapur tank near the temple into a reservoir and boating, water games and other recreation facilities should be created there. He wanted the bund of the tank to be developed on the lines of Tank Bund in Hyderabad.
Mr Rao said all the roads leading to the temple should be made four lanes wide and they must have footpaths and traffic islands.
