Uninor inks $200 million pact with Huawei
Around 3,305 base stations across AP and Telangana will be part of the upgradation process

Hyderabad: In a bid to get future ready for high-speed telecom services, Uninor has signed a $200 million deal with with Huawei to upgrade its tower network in the country.
Uninor’s AP, TS circle head Shrinath Kotain says, “Such network swap will enable to us better provide EDGE and voice services and also make effective use of the available spectrum.” The project will span over three years where Huawei will upgrade all the existing 24,000 towers and base stations and will also provide maintenance services. Around 3,305 base stations across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be part of the upgradation process.
