Suresh Raina shares his ragging experience on 'The Anupam Kher Show'
The cricketer spoke about how he overcame his fears and returned to school
Mumbai: Cricketing legend, Suresh Raina has been one of the most foremost stars of the game. In a conversation with Anupam Kher on The Anupam Kher Show- Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, the cricketer spoke about his life and his journey
The cricketer shared his traumatising experience in boarding school where he was ragged endlessly. He had never even travelled from Muraad Nagar to Ghaziabad and living alone in Lucknow was a very big step for him.
He faced a number of difficulties, he even recalled a few seniors made him wash clothes at 2 am in the night and then he woke up at 5am for practice. It was at a point when he was constantly afraid of being beaten up by his seniors that once when he left for home he didn’t return for two months.
Under the pretence that he wasn’t well, Suresh spent time home. He even shared with Anupam Kher how he once went for a walk with his elder brother and confessed the real reason for returning home.
His brother however was the one who made him realise that his father didn’t have enough of financial stability and had a huge family to look after. Suresh was so touched that he went back to school and excelled in his game.
After that moment, Suresh Raina left for Lucknow and never looked back.
