Jagan Mohan Reddy backed Elvis: N Chandrababu Naidu
AP CM says he has proof of KCR, Jagan colluding in cash-for-vote
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that the Telangana Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao and YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy are colluding.
He said that he had evidence of this. After the Assembly adjournment on Tuesday, while speaking to the media, Mr Naidu said that the Telangana Chief Minister sent a file to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to nominate Mr Elvis Stephenson as MLC along with Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s recommendation letter. But the Governor sent back the file to the government and said that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s recommendation letter should not be in the file.
Mr Naidu said that later, the Telangana Chief Minister sent the file again to the Governor without Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s letter.
Mr Naidu asked why Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy did not counter this when it came out in the media. The AP CM criticised the YSR Congress and said that it is lousy. He said, that AP’s present growth rate is 9.6 per cent and he is trying to bring this to double digit whereas the YSR Congress is indulging in such petty politics.
When questioned whether the financial package for Andhra Pradesh will be at par with the package to Bihar, Mr Naidu said that the Bihar package is announced after combining everything, but Andhra Pradesh does not want it like that. He said that Andhra Pradesh wants a separate package along with special category status and implementation of all assurances given in the State Reorganisation Act. He said that TD government is committed to special category status and added that he is ready to take it, if Mr Reddy gives any good suggestion, but he tried to mislead the house by quoting some papers brought from a research centre.
