Coimbatore: After worms in KFC chicken and bugs in baby food, a dead cockroach has been now found in a popular brand of chocolate bar bought from a local grocery near Sukrawarpet in Coimbatore on Monday.

J.Rishab Kumar Jain, 25-year-old jewellery trader, had bought three slabs of Dairy Milk chocolate from a grocery in Sukrawarpet and was shocked to find a cockroach glued to one of the sticky Rs 10 chocolate bars.

He questioned the grocery shop owner about the presence of the cockroach.

“But his response was not satisfactory,” Rishab said.

In an earlier incident, the food safety department of Coimbatore Corporation had filed a case against the KFC outlet on D.B. road after a businessman, Yasser Arafat, found wriggly worms in the chicken tikka he bought on June 27, 2014.

Last month, a resident of Singanallur came to collectorate with a sealed bottle of honey with a fly floating inside it.

There have also been complaints of bugs found in nestle baby food too.
