Hyderabad: In a bid to promote the Indian pharma industry in Japan and to clear their suspicion over the quality of drugs, India will call a delegation to visit the facilities here.
Speaking on the sidelines of a pharma trade show, PharmaLytica 2015, here in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Pharmexil director general, Dr P.V. Appaji, said, “We are offering several options to the Japanese pharma companies like utilising India’s contract manufacturing facilities or forming joint ventures here.”
The move is aimed at improving India’s image in the pharmaceutical sector as the Japanese have been sceptical about the quality of drugs produced here. Mr Appaji added that this month, there will be interactions with 20 large Japanese pharma companies led by joint secretary of the ministry of commerce and industry.
