More AirAsia flights planned from Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Low cost international air carrier AirAsia Berhad would add four more new domestic destinations in India to their network in the coming months.
AirAsia has recently introduced international flight from Vizag to Kuala Lumpur and also domestic services to Bengaluru.
AirAsia’s KL flight is running with 80 per cent loads and the Asia’s low cost airline is also contemplating to increase its frequency. At present, KL flight is operated thrice in a week from Vizag. “The proposal to increase the Vizag-KL flight frequency is in the pipeline. We are comtemplating on that. So far the present flight is doing good and we could do better. Very soon, Air Asia will add four more destinations in India to our network,” AirAsia Berhad, CEO, Aireen Omar, told reporters here on Wednesday.
AirAsia Berhad launched two new routes from Visakhapatnam to Kuala Lumpur in May, and most recently from Goa to Kuala Lumpur.
Apart from the two new routes from India to Kuala Lumpur, AirAsia Berhad will also be increasing its flight frequencies for the Kochi – KL route from 10 services to 14 from Nov 19.
Other cities which AirAsia Berhad connects to Kuala Lumpur are Tiruchirapalli, Kochi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
Bengaluru is also one of AirAsia India’s operating hubs, which connects feeder traffic from AirAsia to Kochi, Goa, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Visakha-patnam, Pune and Delhi.
