Focus on helping those in need: Sunny Leone reacts to CPI leader's comment
The actress thinks it's sad when people waste their time and energy on her
Mumbai: Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has finally broken her silence, after CPI leader Atul Anjan claimed the reason behind the increasing number of rapes in the country is the actress’ condom commercial.

Reacting to the outrageous remarks, the actress posted on Twitter, “Sad when people of of power waste their time and energy on me, instead of focusing on helping those in need !!!!! #SHAME #EPICFAIL.”

“Nowadays, one of her advertisements is being telecast on national television,where she is seen lying down on a beach and promoting a condom brand. This advertisement develops sexually infected mindset and demolishes your sensibility. If such advertisements will continue to be shown on television then there will be an increase in rape cases,” claims Anjan.
This is not the first time a politician has made such a baseless statement on crimes against women.
In the past, many politicians including Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, Abu Asim Azmi, Babu Lal gaur, RR Patil, have faced criticism for their statements made on the rising number of rapes in the country.
