Sheena Bora murder case: Cops trace car
The car will be brought to the police station today
Mumbai: In another breakthrough in the Sheena Bora case, the Khar police have finally tracked the hired car in which she was murdered and her body was dumped in the Raigad forest in 2012.
The sedan, which had been hired from a Worli-based firm has been traced and its current owner resides in Vashi, according to a report on Midday.
According to cops, this will serve as crucial evidence and will be brought to the police station today. Sources from the police also said the car was sold to someone in 2012, who sold it again to its current owner in Vashi the same year.
“The car is currently with the third owner. He bought the car for around Rs 80,000 and we have learnt that he celebrated by distributing sweets. However, the car is now crucial evidence in the case and he will have to do without it for a few months,” a police official was quoted as saying.
Police said they were certain that it was the same car in which Sheena was strangled and her body taken for dumping to Raigad.
