WhatsApp introduces new hidden feature for iOS users
We bet you didn’t know this feature does exist!
Each one knows the importance of WhatsApp, in terms of free messages, free voice calls or enjoying just a happy chat time. The tech giant has released a new feature to help iOS users keep a tab on the Internet data consumed per chat message.
How is it different from the Account Settings already available on other platforms?
You can easily check the data cosumed per message, video, location, audio, contacts (business cards) sent to individual recipients. This feature will also help iOS users get detailed information on the total number of messages sent to/received from per recipient via WhatsApp.
Where can you find out this feature?
If you are an iOS user, you are lucky enough to explore this new WhatsApp feature. Click on ‘settings’ on the right of the app’s main toolbar, click on the ‘storage usage’ tab and you will easily find your record! Interestingly, WhatsApp will also offer a breakdown of the chat feature into the data consumed, presenting the number of chats, voice messages, voice calls etc via the app.

At present, WhatsApp is offering this breakdown only for iOS users. Android users can only view the amount of messages sent and received. However, the new WhatsApp feature can even help selective users to figure out who they love to chat with, only if the app is not being used for work purpose.
