BBMP deal sealed? Zameer Ahmed Khan meets CM Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru: In a sign that the Congress and JD(S) were on track to putting the final touches to the grand alliance to run the civic body, JD(S) pointman Zameer Ahmed Khan met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as a prelude to the much awaited meeting between the KPCC chief Dr G. Parameshwar and the state chief of the JD(S) H.D. Kumaraswamy, put off by another 24 hours to Monday.
After the meeting with the Chief Minister, Mr Khan told reporters that it is now certain Congress and JD(S) will take control of BBMP and elect their candidates as Mayor and Deputy Mayor on September 11.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru in-charge minister Ramalinga Reddy said there was no confusion over the alliance, adding that the Congress party will elect its candidate as Mayor. The party has convened a meeting of its newly elected corporators on Monday who will be addressed by CM Siddaramaiah and Dr Parameshwar.
