PM's Hyderabad visit will boost party: BJP
TS-BJP leaders are keen to bring Mr Modi to the city ahead of the GHMC elections
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to make his maiden visit to Telangana on October 31, on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary.
The NDA government at the Centre had decided to observe Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) from last year after Mr Modi came to power.
The BJP is making arrangements to celebrate the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel this year on a grand scale at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, and invite Mr Modi.
The BJP hopes that Mr Modi’s visit will help strengthen the party in Telangana before the 2019 elections. The TS-BJP leaders are keen to bring Mr Modi to the city ahead of the GHMC elections and improve the poll prospects of the BJP-TD combine.
