Terror groups in Pakistan eyeing Id for funds
Terror organisations are learnt to be running special fund collection drives
New Delhi: Exposing Pakistan’s lies, an R&AW report sent to the Prime Minister’s Office has revealed that Pakistan’s home department has cautioned the Nawaz Sharif government about banned jehadi outfits in that country going on a terror fund collection spree. The home department of the Government of Pakistan’s Punjab province has cautioned the Pakistan government that jihadi organisations are fairly actively collecting funds in the state eyeing the upcoming Id festival during which they plan to sell the skin of sacrificed animals.
According to Pakistan’s own assessment, the notorious ones are 26/11 masterming and Laskhar patron Hafiz Saeed’s Jammat-ud-Dawa followed by Jaish-e Mohammed, Tehreek-Ghalba-E-Islam, Harkat-Ul-Mujahideen, Ansar-Ul-Ummah and Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat. These organisations are learnt to be running special fund collection drives. Activists are visiting various areas to coax like-minded people to donate and also utilise the jumma contributions, according to the report.
In its internal communication, the Pakistani Punjab province home department has acknowledged that banned organisations use subsidiaries or front organisations to avoid any legal action, says the report.
According to sources here, such frontal organisations are on a spree to buy animals which could be sold for sacrifice during the festival which falls on September 25 and their skin sold to fetch money.
According to the inputs with Indian agencies, the JuD uses Falah-e- Insaniyat, JeM issues receipts in the name of Al- Rehmat trust, the HuM receives funds in the name of Al-Hilal trust, while ASWJ uses Al Esar Welfare trust as its front or attached organisations.
Quoting an estimate of the Pakistan’s Punjab province, the intelligence report says that around 10 million animals were sacrificed on last Id and their hides were worth Pakistani Rs 35,000 million.
