Two militants arrested by Assam Rifles in Manipur
The militants have been handed over to the police for further interrogation
Imphal: Two militants belonging to different outlawed groups in Manipur have been arrested, a press release issued the Assam Rifles said.
Troops of 16 Assam Rifles(AR) (South) arrested a cadre of outlawed People Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK), Nawaj Khan alias Waiba (19) of Pangaltabi village of Imphal East district on September 9, the release said adding that he was handed over to Sagolmang police station for further investigation.
Another militant belonging to outlawed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) cadre namely Wahengbam Premjit (35) of Wabagai Tera Pishak village of Thoubal district was arrested on September 8 by troops of 22 AR of 28 Sector, under the aegis of Inspector General, AR (South), the release said adding that the arrested militant was handed over to Kakching police station for further investigation.
