Actor Kamal Haasan recently called on the spiritual guru and founder of Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at his ashram in Bengaluru. Ulaganayagan’s visit has generated a lot of curiosity among his fans and audiences, as he is known for his rational thinking. Though the Vishwaroopam actor does not thrust his personal beliefs in his films, his meeting with Sri Ravi Shankar has surprised his critics.

It may be noted that Ravi Shankar was born in Papanasam (a place in Tirunelveli), which was the title of Kamal Haasan’s last release. Reportedly, it was a courtesy call made by Kamal as Ravi Shankar invited him to his ashram. The duo is said to have shared a lot of things and after the meet Ravi Shankar was quoted saying, “Kamal Haasan is doing yeoman service to the society through his Welfare Association. He has been aptly chosen as the Brand Ambassador from Tamil Nadu for serving the Swachh Bharat Mission”.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is busy with the postproduction of his upcoming thriller, a bilingual, Thoongavanam in Tamil and Cheekati Rajyam in Telugu, which is said to be a remake of the French film, Sleepless Nights.  Directed by Rajesh M Selva, a former associate of Kamal, the film also has Trisha in the lead.  With Ghibran helming the music, we hear that the sound mixing is being done at a Hollywood studio.
