Chance for universities to win Rs 5 crore Chancellor’s award
The prize money can be used for academic activities of the university

Thiruvananthapuram: The office of Governor P. Sathasivam has invited applications for the newly instituted Chancellor's award carrying Rs 5 crore as the prize. The prize money can be used for academic activities of the university.
The Governor instituted the award in his capacity as the Chancellor of universities of the state.
The award’s details have been posted on the new website www.chancellorsaward.kerala.gov.in developed by the National Informatic Centre, the Governor said in a statement here on Friday.
All 13 universities have been given individual user name and login named and the password. Key for filling up the application has also been provided in the help desk section of the website.
Vice-chancellors of all universities have been informed of the award and directed them to fill up the online application with all supporting documents and deliver the hard copies of the filled-up application along with accompanying documents in triplicate to the Kerala Raj Bhavan before September 20.
A selection committee, headed by Higher Education additional chief secretary K. M. Abraham with KSCSTE executive director Suresh Das, IIM Kozhikode director Khulbhushan Balooni, IISER director V. Ramakrishnan and NUALS (Kochi) vice-chancellor Rose Varghese as members and A. Ajith Kumar, secretary to the governor, as the convener, will identify the winners based on the applications.
