VijayawadaWith the spectacular Krishna River and capital area Amavarati in the background, the view of Indrakeeladri Hill from a drone's eye is nothing less than that of the iconic mountains of Rio De Janeiro in Brazil.

For the first time, Vijayawada and Guntur cities have been explored by a film maker using a drone camera (quadcopter) and the visuals captured, thanks to the drone technology, turned out to be nothing less than stunning.

Konatham Dharani Kumar, a Guntur-based short film maker, won accolades from the officials of police department in Telangana and other places recently for his short film on making women feel safe in the society.

Using a DJI Inspire 1 drone, Dharani and his team captured the first-ever visuals of Prakasam Barrage, Kankadurga Temple, Capital city region, Guntur and other areas in the capital region from such a high altitude.

The video of the same was uploaded on YouTube on Sunday night and had over 2,000 views by Monday. “Stunning aerial shots of Vijayawada and Guntur... Loved the greenery of places... Hope this natural beauty doesn't fade away with industrialisation," commented a user Sankar Kondaveeti.

Meanwhile, Mr Dharani said that the drone was flown up to a height of 400 feet into the sky to capture the Kankadurga Temple atop Indrakeeladri Hill and other areas of the city from several angles. The end result of the efforts by the short film maker has catapulted the capital region into a new found fame on the internet.
