Nayanthara plays a dual role

Producer C. Kalyan is back to the big screen with a bilingual horror flick Mayuri, which has Nayanthara in the lead. He reveals that Nayanthara is playing dual roles in the movie. “One is that of a ghost and the other one of a woman with a child. She has delivered one of her best performances in this film,” he says.

He says the actress accepted the role in just five minutes after she listened to the subject. “This is a horror movie based on a ring. I can’t reveal more,” he says. However, Nayanthara, as usual, was missing from the film’s promotion. “Before signing any film, she says that she won’t be available for promotions,” Kalyan clarified. “Actually, I was supposed to produce this film with Nani, but as he is busy, I joined hands with Prakash Raj,” he says.

When asked why more horror films were not coming in Telugu, he says, “Earlier, only Ram Gopal Varma used to direct horror films. I don’t think there are enough people now to come up with this subject,” Kalyan adds.
