Sachin Tendulkar celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi with family

The cricket icon visits the famous Lalbaugcha Raja on first day of festival

Mumbai: So what if he is an international celebrity with 100 centuries in world cricket, Sachin Tendulkar is after all a hardcore Mumbaikar and when it comes to Ganesh Chaturthi, he leaves no stone unturned to be a part of the celebrations.

On Thursday, the retired cricketer visited Lalbaugcha Raja temple with his family (wife Anjali, daughter Sara and son Arjun) to offer his prayers to Lord Ganesha on the first day of the festival.

Tendulkar has been vocal about his devotion for Lord Ganesha. Whenever in the city, he was a regular worshipper of ‘Ganpatti Bappa’ and visited the temple frequently.

The cricketer, on his official Facebook page, declared that he also conducted the “main puja” of his family at his brother’s residence.
