The Nayanthara-Aari starrer Maya, a horror flick, which hit the screens recently, has been receiving a positive response overall from the audience. Social media was abuzz with celebrities like Suriya, Anirudh Ravichander, Jayam Ravi and others praising the film and the latest to join the bandwagon is the renowned American director Eric England, who is known for his horror films like Madison Country. We hear that it was Kunal Rajan, the sound designer of Uttama Villain, who had told Eric England about Ashwin’s directorial debut Maya. “My sound designer Kunal Rajan, who has worked on all my feature films, has opened the door for me to find new cinematic influences and cultures with some wonderful films coming out of India. I recently had the chance to sit in a theater and view Maya, a stunningly beautiful and haunting new film from that part of the world that really impressed me with it’s solid acting, beautiful photography and incredible sound/score,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
His post further read that he recommends others to see Maya. “It’s a unique experience, both in the way of storytelling and in the presentation,” he added.
