These days, irrespective of whether a movie is being released or not, it’s being spoken about on social media. We see celebrities showering praise on films, regardless of whether they are a part of them, or not. One such movie is Vetrimaaran’s Visaranai.
The film was recently screened in the Venice International Film Festival and it was the first Tamil film to be screened in the competitive category of that festival. It also won an award for its content, which was about upholding human rights and values. The film has received much deserved praise from local circles too. The latest to praise the film is director AL Vijay. Hailing Visaranai as a masterpiece, Vijay said he was speechless after watching the film.
“Watched Visaranai in the US and it’s a hard hitting film. The way Vetrimaaran had handled the story, screenplay and especially the characterisations of the cast were spectacular. Everyone in the film was so real,” he added. Vijay also felt that the film would create a huge impact in all aspects. “Big applause to actor Dinesh, Samuthirakani, and other members of the cast and crew. The film is going to remain as the identity for Indian cinema to the rest of the world. Hats off to Vetrimaaran and his entire team. It’s going to be proud moment for Tamil cinema, as being part of this industry, I feel lucky to watch it in advance,” he said, and recommended it as a must-watch.
