HyderabadA consultancy which promised management quota seats in universities downed shutters in the Jubilee Hills area. The firm, Apex Professi-onal Consultancy Services collected huge amounts from candidates. The firm used to offer BSc (Agriculture) seats in universities. On Monday, nine candidates approached the police complaining that they were cheated. Police launched a hunt for the firm’s employees.
 
One of the candidates had an agreement with the firm for Rs 8.75 lakh for a BSc Agriculture seat in management quota. "I paid Rs 1 lakh as advance and Rs 3.5 lakh as donation. I was prepared to pay the balance after the admission," said Mr Nageshwara Rao, a farmer from Warangal district, who paid for his daughter. Police registered a case and launched a hunt for the accused employees.
