Visakhapatnam: Eunuchs allegedly pushed a passenger out of the Vivek Express to death and thrashed another passenger near Nuapada in Srikakulam district on Monday. But the GRP said that the man accidentally fell off the train. The deceased was identified as Poornachandra Sahu, 45, a native of Nayagarah district in Odisha.
Some passengers said that Sahu and four other daily wagers were returning to their home town in a general coach of the Mangalore-Santragachi Express. Sahu, who was sitting near the door, was “pushed” by the eunuchs when he refused to give them money.
After Sahu fell, co-passengers pulled the chain and stopped the train. GRP Vizag range inspector Y. Murali Rao said he did not receive any complaint against the eunuchs. He said Sahu accidentally fell from the train. Police registered a case.
