Aided schools get a boost from Supreme Court

Kakinada: The verdict of the Supreme Court which allows Aided school managements to recruit personnel in vacant aided posts has given a new lease of life to the managements.
 
The apex court delivered judgment in favour of the aided school managements to recruit the posts for running the schools.

 The state government imposed ban on recruitment of teachers, promotions and others in aided schools si-nce 2004. Private Recogn-ised Aided Schools Mana-gement Association (PRASMA) approached the High Court which directed the government to give clearances to  fill up posts in aided schools.

 But the government filed Special Leave Petition before the Supreme Court.

 “The Supreme Court recently delivered its judgment directing the state government to lifting the ban and gave permissions for filling the posts. The government appointed a six men committee to complete the pr-ocess,” said PRSMA state president  M.Adinarayana.

 He said nearly 4,000 posts will be filled up in aided schools in Andhra Pradesh.

 A committee consisting of two government officials, one subject expert and three members from school managements will conduct inte-rviews for the candidates through a written examination for recruiting them in the aided schools.
