Guntur: The police has denied permission to YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to hold his deeksha to seek special category status for AP. The Guntur police cited the ongoing immersion procession of Ganesh idols, and said holding the fast on the main road would obstruct traffic. The party has applied for permission again.

YSRC leaders have decided to hold the deeksha on the Wolf Hall grounds saying it was private property. They alleged the government was unable to digest the growing support for Mr Reddy.
