Woman from Telangana killed in Haj stampede
Telangana CM has instructed officials to ensure Haj pilgrims from the state are safe

Hyderabad: A woman from Telangana is among the Haj pilgrims killed in a stampede in Saudi Arabia on Thursday. An official of the Telangana State Haj Committee said that the deceased had been identified as 60-year-old Bibi Jaan, a resident of Ranga Reddy district near Hyderabad.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao expressed shock at the incident and condoled the loss of lives in the stampede. The CM has instructed concerned officials to immediately ensure Haj pilgrims from Telangana are safe.
CM expressed his shock at the sad loss of lives in stampede at Mecca. CM wished speedy recovery of those injured in this tragic incident.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) tweeted the emergency helpline numbers following the tragedy. The numbers are: 00966125458000 and 00966125496000. The toll free number for pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is 8002477786.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj herself tweeted the emergency numbers on her official account and said that all help will be provided to Indian pilgrims in the holy city.
