Mumbai: Thirtynine per cent of the top management surveyed felt that there has been no improvement in the ease of doing business over the last year, while 20 per cent felt it has improved somewhat.
A survey done by The Boston Consulting Group titled Future of Indian Manufacturing: Bridging the Gap revealed that “more executives saw an improvement in project clearance and approvals while land acquisition and labour laws continued to be seen as ‘difficult’. However, despite the situation as seen by Indian business, over a dozen major global companies like Lenova, Xiaomi and Motorola plan to set up smart phone manufacturing plants with a combined investment of more than $5 billion, the report said. The first six months of 2015 have seen more inflows than the whole of 2012 which saw Rs 21,591 crore.
