Hyderabad: The cut-off date for the Building Regularisation Scheme (BRS) and Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) in GHMC limits is likely to be August 31, 2015.

All illegal buildings and layouts that came up before that date will be allowed for regularisation, recommended the Cabinet sub-committee constituted by the Telangana government to suggest measures for the forthcoming BRS/ LRS.

The committee is likely to submit its report to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao soon and a decision on this is likely after the conclusion of the Assembly Session on October 10.

The committee has also made several recommendations to be followed while implementing BRS/LRS besides checking illegal building and layouts in future. It has recommended that the regularisation fee be 1.5 times higher than that of BRS/LRS, introduced in 2007.

However, the committee has ruled out regularisation of buildings and layouts existing on government, lakes and nala lands, besides constructions in cellars and notified parking areas.
