Ali Fazal’s unrecognisable look

Ali Fazal has been working hard on his second international project (after Furious 7), an Indo-Chinese film. While the actor was shooting for the project in China until recently, he has now been spotted with the film’s crew and cast in Malshej Ghat in Maharashtra, where some portions of the script are set. Ali has undergone a pretty dramatic transformation for the film and is barely recognisable, with long matted locks that hide most of his face.
“Ali shot the first schedule of the movie in China. He plays a villager in the film. He’s sporting a tribal avatar and a mask through most of the film — which is quite a drastic change from his usual modern roles. The shoot at Malshej Ghat was an extensive one, and Ali was placed at a nearby village for over three days. After that, he returned home, packed his bags and set off for Chandigarh, where he is filming Happy Bhag Jayega. He joined the cast four days late owing to his commitment to the Indo-Chinese project,” a source close to the actor reported. The photograph is an exclusive look at Ali’s get-up in the film.
