Sanjay Dutt's biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor to go on floors next year
Sanjay will be co-producing the film with Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani

Mumbai: The details of Sanjay Dutt's biopic has been fiercely guarded ever since it was announced, but it seems filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is ready to receal the details of much-awaited biopic. At a media interaction recently Mr Hirani said, "The script for the Sanjay Dutt biopic is almost complete and we will start shooting the film with Ranbir in 2016."
When asked whether his film would help Ranbir get out of the current low in his career, he said: "I don't think Ranbir needs anyone. He is a fantastic actor and we don't need to worry about him."
Apart from his plans for Ranbir, he also spoke about the next Munna Bhai film. "We are also working on the next installment of Munna Bhai. We'll be able to decide on it a little closer to its completion," he added.
Sanjay will be co-producing the biopic along with filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani. "He (Sanjay Dutt) is co-producing the film. The decision was taken recently. The work on the script is still going on," sources close to Dutt said.
According to sources, Dutt has been working hard to grow his production house and in the process, his wife Manyata has signed Prabhu Deva to direct a home production project. "Munna bhai MBBS" director Rajkumar Hirani is writing the biopic with Abhijat Joshi. Hirani had earlier said that he wants to tell Sanjay Dutt's story "with all his flaws".
