Salman Khan steps into the ring for 'Sultan'

The actor has been dedicating 4-hours of his day to train in the art of wrestling

Mumbai: It’s official! Salman Khan has begun work on his next film ‘Sultan’.

The film that is being directed Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra, will have Salman Khan play the role of a wrestler. The film’s official Twitter handle shared a picture of the actor flexing his muscles in the ring. According to the tweet, the actor has been spending four-hours each day, for the next two months to get into shape and learn a few tricks of the trade. Stunt professional Larnell Stovall and his team will in the ring with Salu, helping him get his moves right. 
 
Ever since it was announced that Salman would be doing another movie with Yash Raj Films, fans were excited to see the actor in an all new avatar for the sports themed film. The ‘Sultan’ team headed over to Punjab, to set up for the film, while their lead actor wrapped up work on his romantic/action flick ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.
 
While Salman will be seen playing a boxer in the film, the makers have yet to finalize on an actress to play his leading lady. There were rumours that Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut and even Priyanka Chopra were in the running to star opposite Khan.
 
Interestingly Salman’s good friend Aamir Khan also began work on ‘Dangal’, where he too will be seen essaying the role of a wrestler in the biopic, that is also scheduled for a 2016 release.
