Modi favourite star face in Bihar
BJP’s posters in the poll-bound state have the slogan ‘Badaliye sarkar, badaliye Bihar’
New Delhi: In the battle for Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the clear favourite among the BJP-led NDA’s star campainers to take on the trio of Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Sonia Gandhi.
It is not just BJP candidates but even BJP allies like Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP, Upendra Kushwaha’s RLSP and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM whose candidates are demanding a rally in their Assembly seat to be addressed by Mr Modi.
The BJP allies have already made it clear to their senior partner that this time the campaign should be ‘Abki baar, NDA sarkar’. The BJP’s posters in the poll-bound state have the slogan ‘Badaliye sarkar, badaliye Bihar’ (Change the government, change Bihar), with just Mr Modi’s photograph.
A senior BJP leader said party candidates are also citing the growing demand from people from their constituency for a rally to be addressed by Mr Modi. For the BJP’s poll managers, requests are pouring in from almost every block in the poll-bound state to schedule Mr Modi’s rally in their Assembly constituency.
Even the LJP, RLSP and HAM candidates are sending requests for a Modi rally in their respective constituencies, indicating that Mr Modi has more appeal than the regional satraps. Senior Union ministers Sushma Swaraj, Nitin Gadkari, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Smriti Irani are also in demand.
