Google plans to launch a series of new devices tonight

The countdown begins! Google has secretively sent out invitations for a press event that will begin at 9.30 pm in San Francisco today. As per the Google’s invites, leaked by Android Police, ‘ Join us for some tasty new treats’ hints at the introduction of multiple devices in store!

Media reports state that there’s a high possibility of four announcements this evening!

  • Nexus devices
  • Android 6.0  Marshmallow upgrade
  • Android watch

Google has been planning to launch its new nexus handsets for quite some time now. A s reported earlier, Nexus 5x will be manufactured by LG and Huawei may also unveil the Nexus 6P  handset at the Google event .

The good news is that images and specifications of the new LG Nexus 5x have been leaked on Imgur. According to the leaked document, Nexus 5X will basically be a phablet with a 5.2-inch display and run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Powered by a Snapdragon 808 chipset, you can only expect this phablet to offer you 2GB of RAM. Nexus 5X may present itself in two variants – 16GB and 32GB.

The camera specifications of the upcoming Nexus 5X seems to be pretty interesting. This phablet will feature a 12.3MP that promises to capture 4K video. It is also speculated to come with a 5MP front-facing camera. Following the new trend, this LG Nexus phablet will also come with a USB Type-C connectivity option.

Google’s new Android Marsmallow 6 .0  has enabled an advanced security settings and supports fingerprint sensors. Android M also offers its users with the screen rotation function for the home screen. This feature also helps you use your handset in landscape format both in apps and on the home screen.

You will likely get a hands-on experience on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow via the upcoming Nexus handsets.  Android 6.0 Marshmallow is rumoured to officially roll out on October 5. Google may announce new upgrades for Android 6.0 Marshmallow tonight.

A report by Engadget also revealed that Google will likely surprise its fans by introducing Android Wear compatibility with Marshmallow.
