Did Deepika Padukone ask Shah Rukh Khan to postpone the release of his film?
Here's the real reason DP posted 'Challenge accepted' with 'Bajirao Mastani' first look
Mumbai: Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan may be Bollywood’s closest buddies. But news of a fall out erupted when Deepika posted the first look of her upcoming film ‘Bajirao Mastani’ on Instagram, which will clash at the Box office with SRK-Kajol starrer ‘Dilwale’ this year, with hashtag #ChallengeAccepted. The star later edited the picture and removed the #challengeaccepted, but it seems the damage was already done.
Reportedly, King Khan was not happy with his ‘Chennai Express’ co-star’s attitude. When asked Deepika about it, she said in an interview, “I find it really amazing that some picture of my film with a certain hashtag… it’s amazing that some connection is found to some completely different film and it is blown out of proportion. I don’t think any of these articles will ever come in my way on my equation with Shah Rukh.”
However according to recent media reports, Deepika Padukone called SRK requesting him to postpone his film to avoid a clash at the box office. The actor reportedly then openly challenged the actress to make her request on social media, that she feared the BO clash and asked him to shift the release date of his film.
But Deepika did not back down and instead posted the first look of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ along with the caption ‘challenge accepted’.
