Tom Cruise breathes underwater for 6 mins!
In a behind-the-scenes video shown exclusively by Access Hollywood
It’s revealed that Tom Cruise, 53, learnt to hold his breath underwater for six minutes in order to film scenes for Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation.
In a behind-the-scenes video shown exclusively by Access Hollywood on Tuesday, he admits that even his stunt team were worried he wouldn’t be able to pull that one off.
“Normally in underwater sequences, people hold their breath for 10 seconds, 15 seconds max,” Tom explained in the video. “So I had to prove to everyone that it was actually safe and spend time with the safety guys and the safety officers to show them not only is it safe, it’s better that I know how to hold my breath because I’m going to be very relaxed. No one’s going to have to rush in. No one has to panic.”
