14 more farmers end life in Telangana

Two suicides each were reported from Karimnagar and Adilabad districts

Hyderabad: While the Telangana Assembly was busy debating on Tuesday over how to check the spate of farmers’ suicides, 14 more farmers have ended their lives across the state by hanging themselves and consuming pesticide due to indebtedness and crop failure.

Mahbubnagar district alone witnessed five suicides, while three suicides, including that of a farmer couple, was reported from Ranga Reddy district. In Karimnagar, two women farmers committed suicide. Two suicides each were reported from Karimnagar and Adilabad districts besides one each in Nalgonda and Nizamabad districts.
