Aerospace park to come up at Sriperumbudur
Jayalalithaa also mentioned that a biotechnology venture capital fund will be established at a cost of Rs 50 crore
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government, which recently conducted the Global Investors Meet, on Tuesday announced a dozen industry development projects ranging from Aerospace park at Sriperumbudur to agriculture.
Unveiling the industrial projects, Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa informed the Assembly that 10 villages in Tiruvallur, measuring 21996 acres, have been earmarked for establishing Ponneri Industrial Node as part of Chennai-Bangalore industrial corridor project at an estimate of Rs 13,314 crore.
She also said the state had allocated funds for formation of aerospace park and logistics park in Kancheepuram district at an estimate of Rs 620 crore followed by an Integrated textile park in Ramnad at an estimate of Rs 150 crore. Jayalalithaa also mentioned that a biotechnology venture capital fund will be established at a cost of Rs 50 crore.
