Workshop to inspire engineers, scientists to be leaders held

Over 700 teams will be selected worldwide to compete in the Grand Finale in WRC

Chennai: In an effort to inspire future engineers and scientists to be science and technology leaders, Timesworld in association with AICRA and eDC IIT- Delhi organised a workshop on robotics to prepare themselves for 'Technoxian 2016 State level championship at Velammal International School.

More than 400 students participated in the workshop where they were trained to make different robotics projects for which they were awarded certificates from All India Council for Robotics and Automation. The workshop focused on the changing technological environment and the rising demand of technology.

There will be three different levels of competitions in Technoxian 2016. First level is International Robotics League (IRL) wherein teams from Colleges/Schools would be competing at Zonal level championship and further selected teams will be invited for National and International Level competitions.

Second level is World Robotics Championship (WRC), in which any group of students who have interest in science and technology can make a team and register online at www.technoxian.com to compete.

Over 700 teams will be selected worldwide to compete in the Grand Finale in WRC. Third level is project based online competitions where individuals will be given a task to finish within defined timeline on virtual platform.
