New Delhi: One of the first major exercises in strengthening the so-called Federal Front took shape on Tuesday with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal holding a conference on “cooperative federalism” here, that however turned into a damp squib as West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee was the only chief minister to attend.

Tripura’s CPI(M) chief minister Manik Sarkar came to meet Mr Kejriwal but diligently avoided sharing the dais with the Trinamool chief, leaving before the conclave began.
