Former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was at her graceful best
It was an electrifying weekend in the city as stars descended upon Chennai turf. Football fans were in for a treat as the opening ceremony of the second edition of the Indian Super League brought the best of sports, music, culture and yes, lots of Rajini at the Nehru Stadium on Saturday evening.
Nita Ambani, Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor were spotted clicking a cool selfie at the ceremony. The ceremony was a gala event with the best of Bollywood making their presence felt at the stadium. Arjun Kapoor hosted the inaugural ceremony and Alia Bhatt set the stage on fire dancing to her hit numbers.
Former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was at her graceful best. Sachin’s presence at the do quadrupled the energy. But, it was namma Rajinikanth who received a roaring response as he was driven across the stadium in a red vintage car and waved to his fans. A R Rahman’s choir’s rendition of the national anthem added a sporty spirit to the show.
